Nice location on the coast, good breakfast and comfortable spacious rooms. The tennis court was nice to have as well.

A classic seaside resort
Calla Fornells is the classic seaside resort. Original green glass chandeliers, floral decor in the guest rooms, wrought iron balconies overlooking the sea, and keys on heavy fobs that you leave at the front desk give it a boho 40s and 50s glamour vibe. Highlights are sipping drinks on the large and inviting front patio, sunbathing at the rooftop pool with fantastic views of the coastline, wading into the sea, the ample buffet breakfast and dinner, and the relaxed, pleasant atmosphere among the guests and staff. A most enjoyable ending to our vacation in Mallorca.

As an older couple but young at heart it fit the bill exactly. Peaceful.
staff extremely courteous and helpful. View fantastic. very comfy beds. The cleaning ladies did an excellent job also.
Ithink the outdoor dining space could be a bit bigger if possible. We never ate inside once but only because we preferred outside and the weather was good. We did ask some parents at the pool to stop their children somersalting into the pool and diving, etc but I wont repeat the reply. The children could have hurt theirselves.

What was the highlight of Hotel Cala Fornells
Hotel and location suited our needs and made for an enjoyable mid October short stay!
The most important thing to say is that ALL the staff at this hotel are friendly, helpful, good tempered and exceptionally efficient, couldn't rate them highly enough. This alone made a very positive impact on our stay. The breakfast buffet was very good - varied, plentiful and again the staff were very pleasant and efficient. Same goes for the dinner buffet. The location of the hotel is at the end of the road from the nearest town, Peguera. This means the traffic is very light and gives a sense of exclusivity. The bar terrace overlooks the Cala with good views across the crystal clear blue water, natural shading from the trees and comfortable seating. Excellent free shuttle to and from Peguera 4 times a day or you can walk - use the coast road (map from reception) about 15 to 20 mins tops.
The terrace bar is well located for drinks in the evening and drinks and light lunch in the afternoon. The slight irritation is that you cannot bill to your room and must settle the tab there and then. This means that a pre-dinner drink for example, must be paid for before entering the dining room - caught us out a couple of times. The hotel provides towels for the pool and beach and even reserves sun loungers with towels for guests. The pool itself is quite cold (maybe time of year being mid-October) and the beach is tiny and rocky and gets crowded very quickly. We anticipated this but it's worth pointing out for travellers who may look forward to some serious lounging on a sandy beach.
